AKA: El clan de los Nazarenos
El clan de los Nazarenos (El profanador) (Spain) (promotional title)
I quattro del clan dal cuore di pietra (Italy)
A totally unreleased score is added to the wonderful discography of Maestro Cipriani, I 4 DEL CLAN DAL CUORE DI PIETRA. Directed in 1975 by Joaquin Luis Romero Marchent and featuring Antonio Sabato in the cast, it's the story of a jailbreak by a gang of convicts who start living a life of ruthless lawlessness led by none other than a priest!
The movie didn't make a big impact with audiences but is still notable thanks to this score by the great Roman composer. Among the most obscure and unknown works of the Maestro during the '70s, it somehow reminds us of a certain Western archetype of symphonic scoring, dominated by Chopinian fugues and the influence of Schubert but leaving plenty of space for funky rhythms. The umpteenth proof of talent by one of the living icons of Italian cinema music, it's a must-have!
The CD comes in a jewel case, with mastering by Claudio Fuiano, liner notes by Fabio Babini and art design by Alessio Innuzzi. Limited Edition!
