A new step in the DDJ series dedicated to the music of a great composer: Gianni Marchetti. This time we are helped by the recover of the original master tapes of the score NIPOTI MIEI DILETTI, movie directed in the middle of the 70s, crossroad of so many genres and musical influences.
From the liner notes written by Fabio Babini: ...The other winning element (for us it could be nothing else) is the score composed by M° Gianni Marchetti, suspended in constant duality between themes with a burlesque flavor (almost trying to echo an outdated Belle Époque) and variations of the wonderful main theme, featuring piano, soft dreamy strings, and a female voice that intonates an out-of-time melody, unmistakably 70s with an apparently childish aura, but in reality quite sensual in its fragility...
A wonderful lounge score with orchestral themes, a great soundtrack that could not be missing in your collection of the Maestro to whom we make a tribute with a complete first time release.
