We continue the series dedicated to TV series with the great Maestro Bruno Nicolai's score for ELEONORA (1973), a two-part miniseries directed by Silverio Blasi and starring Giulietta Masina, Giulio Brogi and Roldano Lupi. Set in the middle of the 19th century, it's the story of a young Milanese girl, her unconventional boyfriend and her difficult relationship with her father.
Symphonic, romantic, and nostalgic, Nicolai's music is, as usual, of great quality and class, featuring one of the most evocative themes ever composed by the Maestro.
The CD comes in a jewel case, with mastering by Enrico De Gemini, liner notes (in Italian and English) by Claudio Fuiano and an 8-page, full-color reversible booklet designed by Alessio Iannuzzi featuring the artwork of both original LP releases. It's a wonderful score—a Rolls Royce in your soundtrack collection!
