La-La Land Records and Paramount Pictures present a remastered 2-CD reissue of legendary composer John Barry's unused original score to the 1986 Paramount Pictures action/adventure motion picture THE GOLDEN CHILD, starring Eddie Murphy, Charlotte Lewis, Charles Dance and directed by Michael Ritchie.
Maestro Barry's (GOLDFINGER, THUNDERBALL, MOONRAKER) unused orchestral score is a sumptuous wonder -- a powerful, majestic work brimming with action, suspense and romance that strongly conjures the late composer's 80s Bond period while still retaining its own robust identity. Previously out of print – Barry's THE GOLDEN CHILD returns sounding better than ever before, courtesy of a freshly updated remaster by Mike Matessino!
Included is the composer's song "Best Man In The World," performed by Ann Wilson of Heart fame.
Produced by Lukas Kendall and Dan Goldwasser, and mixed and newly mastered by Mike Matessino, this presentation showcases the unused score across two discs, with Additional Music included on disc two. The release is limited to 1500 units and features liner notes by Jon Burlingame and sharp art direction from Dan Goldwasser.
