AKA: Longlasting Youth (World-wide) (English title)
Directed by Gianluca Maria Tavarelli and starring Paola Cortellesi and Claudio Santamaria, LE COSE CHE RESTANO is a short TV series broadcasted in 4 episodes by RAI in 2010. With a title inspired by a popular Emily Dickinson verse, it narrates a story of contemporary Italian social landscapes by focusing on such issues as illegal immigration, homosexuality, and interpersonal relationships dealing with love, adultery and the fragility of life.
Confronted with the series' dramatic social themes, young Maestro Marco Betta composed an evocative score with high emotional impact, illustrating the human vicissitudes described by the images with extreme skill and poetry in a melodic kaleidoscope, engaging the deepest chords of sensibility.
