LAST SNOW OF SPRING
THE SOUNDTRACK
This project has been realized thanks to the collaboration of M° Micalizzi, always helpful during every phase. We used original albums' stereo masters and those of the recording sessions' in full stereo, very well preserved in RCA archives. RCA released a LP record (TBL 1-1018) from "The last snows of spring" and a 7-inch record (OC 42) in Italy, while the album was released in Japan by KING (FML- 42).
DIRECTION AND CAST
Directed by Raimondo Del Balzo in 1973 and starring Bekim Fehmiu, Agostina Belli and Renato Cestiè.
PLOT
After losing his mother, young Luca cannot bear his father's new girlfriend and his attachment to his job. The man takes him skiing but, after a fall, Luca is diagnosed with Leukemia. He will die in his father's arms, after telling him that those had been the most beautiful days of his life.
WHITE HORSES OF SUMMER
THE SOUNDTRACK
From "White horses of summer" we found a 12 tracks selection album montage, prepared for SP promo series of RCA back in 1975 but never released. RCA only issued a 7-inch record to which we then added 7 more tracks. We kept all the material previously released in our première CD edition. With a running time of 140 minutes and 52 tracks, Franco Micalizzi's music is pure joy for the ears, thanks to lots of orchestral material that alternates romantic themes with melancoholic and dramatic ones and again with happy and danceable ones. Lounge and latino tracks, with wonderful solists like Oscar Valdambrini to the flugelhorn, Vincenzo Restuccia to the drums, Mario Gangi to the guitar, vocal performarces by Irio De Paula, Giovanna Marinuzzi Italian Cinema's golden uvula Edda Dell'Orso. Born after a long and passionate work, this double LP has been able to preserve three valuable scores from Italian Silver Age. Sincere homage to M° Franco Micalizzi's Music for Cinema.
