La morte bussa due volte (aka "Death knocks twice" – "Blonde Köder für den Mörder" – "Blonde Bait for the Murderer"- "The Blonde Connection") is a Giallo movie directed in 1969 by Harald Philipp and Sergio Garrone based on the novel by Mario Di Nardo. Legendary composer Piero Umiliani wrote a score with all the colors of his style. The main theme "My face" appears in the main titles after the first murder on the beach in the prologue. It is sung by Anna Arazzini and the vocal is reprised by the same performer with the Italian version Un posto per un addio in the end titles. This romantic, nostalgic love theme is often reprised in the score with different fast and slow arrangements as flute Bossa nova and Shake or in its instrumental version with the splendid voice of Edda Dell'Orso. Lounge music for Grove Organ or Bossa is not missing: we can mention Bob and Hellen a tune become very popular among the Piero Umiliani fans around the world, featuring a duo of male and female voices of the Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni Choir This great score returns on cd with remastered sound and with an extra track previously unreleased, a 7:26 long suite discovered in one tape, possibly assembled for a promo trailer that includes unreleased takes and some parts of the original album material.
