Digitmovies proudly presents for the very first time on CD the OST in full stereo by the brothers Guido & Maurizio De Angelis from the movie "Anche gli angeli mangiano fagioli" (aka "Even Angels Eat Beans") directed in 1973 by E.B. Clucher (Enzo Barboni) and starring Giuliano Gemma, Bud Spencer,Steffen Zacharias, Robert Middleton, Bill Vanders, Gérard Landry, Georges Rigaud, Claudio Ruffini, Riccardo Pizzuti, George Wang, Fortunato Arena, Victor Israel, Francy Fair, Salvatore Baccaro. Chicago in the 30s: Two jobless big friends, Sonny, a Karate expert (Gemma), and Charlie, a wrestling champion (Spencer), join up the racket's underworld, but being good-natured, they soon line up with the side of the victims against the people who are extorting money from them. In 1973 RCA had issued a 45 rpm single (RCA Records OC 35) which was then re-issued in Germany with the title "Auch die Engel essen Bohnen" (RCA Records 74-16336). On side A the single contained "Angels and beans" in the original version of the main titles as performed by Kathy & Gulliver, whereas on side B a theme unrelated to the film was included. As the master tapes of the original recording sessions were thought to be lost completely till now, just a short time ago this present CD project was considered to be an absolutely unthinkable thing. By luck we could discover a master tape in stereo and in very good condition which had been assembled for an album with twelve tracks (about half an hour), but which never saw the light at the time of the film's release. The De Angelis brothers reprise the main theme by arranging it both in vocal and instrumental versions and alternating them with delicious '30s style music pieces (Foxtrot, Tango, Charleston, band music for the Salvation Army). This record also represents the very first official CD re-issue of "Angels and beans" –film version (wheras on the De Angelis bros. compilation albums only the cover version performed by Oliver Onions had been issued).
