Quintero - Das As der Unterwelt (West Germany)
We continue our renaissance of the great Piero Umiliani's body of work with this 2-CD edition of the score of LA LEGGE DEI GANGSTERS (GANGSTER'S LAW), a movie directed by Siro Marcellini in 1969 starring Klaus Kinsky, Maurice Poli and Franco Citti. The backdrop for the Maestro's score is the streets of Genoa, a robbery, treachery and gunfights: fertile ground in which the Florentine composer put the roots of his talent with a dynamic and harmonic score, sophisticated and original, romantic and jazzy. A real tribute to the class of this popular Maestro who has given so much to Italian art is now available again in this expanded release after so many years of absence from the market.
The CD comes in a jewel case with a 12-page booklet, graphic design by Alessio Iannuzzi, liner notes (in Italian and English) by Francesco Argento and mastering by Enrico De Gemini.
