This 2016 CD Re-issue of the original soundtrack of "THE CHURCH" directed by Michele Soavi in 1989(with the exclusion of the song "The wire blaze" cause publishing/contractual matters). The macabre fight between good and evil powerfully begins when a young librarian unwittingly releases the forces of evil trapped inside a rock for centuries. The movie features an effective background music score by legendary late Keith Emerson and Goblin's Fabio Pignatelli. Michele Soavi's horror filmography lists a series of well-known musicians: Simon Boswell and Stefano Mainetti in "Deliria" (aka "Stagefright"), Pino Donaggio in "La setta" and Manuel De Sica in "Dellamorte Dellamore". Keith Emerson has created the right mood and atmosphere for the gothic terror that runs riot within the walls of the great cathedral. More terror scenes are also scored by Fabio Pignatelli and performed by Goblin. The CD is enriched with bonus tracks not on the original album like the single mix version of "The church" by Emerson and almost 15 minutes of extra scary music scored by Pignatelli.
