Limited edition of 500 copies.
We continue releasing the film music of M° Piccioni, adventuring even further into the '60s with a beautiful score composed in 1965 for the movie IO LA CONOSCEVO BENE, directed by Antonio Petrangeli and starring Stefania Sandrelli, Mario Adorf, Nino Manfredi, Enrico Maria Salerno, Ugo Tognazzi, Jean-Claude Brialy, Turi Ferro and Franco Nero.
The film denounced the morally despicable attitude that was spreading in the Italian jet-set, dominated by those in search of a place in the sunlight without rules or boundaries. A movie with a revealing and tragic end, its score is further proof of the flawless genius of M° Piero Piccioni who created a full orchestral score with lounge sonorities--a work of deep artistic quality. It's a meeting with the artist in the mid-'60s that won't disappoint.
This CD features the complete instrumental score (mono) composed by the Roman Maestro, made possible thanks to discovery of the original session master tapes in pristine condition in Sugar archives.
Mastering by Claudio Fuiano, 12-page booklet designed by Alessio Iannuzzi and liner notes by Roberto Pugliese and Claudio Fuiano. After "I magliari," "L'attico" and "Il demonio," it's a fourth meeting you can't miss!
