Three Women (1971)
Correva L'Anno Di Grazia 1870:
1870 (1971, International: English title)
"The two discs set was prepared as a result of the strong cooperation of C.A.M. film Music Archives with the supervision of Ennio Morricone. All the original stereophonic master tapes survived until today enabled us to release the most complete presentation of this superb score. Originally only a single (C.A.M. AMP 091) was issued in Italy and later an album with some selections appeared in America (LP Cerberus CEM-S 0117). More or less the same contents were re-issued also on CD (C.A.M. CSE 099). While re-listening the complete tapes, M°Morricone decided to reject some of the LP existing tracks for the double disc edition in favour of newly discovered takes and as final result we achieved a truly wonderful listening experience. Now we are releasing 30 tracks with a total length of almost 98 minutes. The two main themes "Canzone senza parole" and "Solitudine" are reprised very often in this long score and they are the recurring themes describing the love and despair of each woman of the four stories. Disc 1 contains the music scores from episode "1943: Un incontro" and "La sciantosa" with four previously unreleased tracks. Disc 2 contains the scores from the episodes "Correva l'anno di grazia" and "L'automobile"."
