Fourth prestigious meeting in our DDJ series dedicated to lounge and disco sound of the 70s and 80s, the score by Maestro Piero Piccioni (whose talent has already been given proof in our series) for the 1976 movie directed by Lina Wertmuller TRAVOLTI DA UN INSOLITO DESTINO NELL'AZZURRO MARE D'AGOSTO (aka SWEPT AWAY), with Mariangela Melato and Giancarlo Giannini. A lounge score whose sonorities are surely influenced by the story and the exotic setting, undeniably one of the top composition of one of the greatest Italian composers of the 20th century. This edition gives a deserved homage to a movie made by great ingredients, direction, acting and music with this jewelbox edition featuring liner notes by Fabio Babini, audio master by Claudio Fuiano and graphic layout by Daniele De Gemini.
