"GDM Music is proud to announce the special edition CD reissue of 'For A Fistful Of Dollars' with the famous score by Ennio Morricone for the classic movie directed by Sergio Leone in 1964. At that time a single appeared featuring two tracks from this OST, but only in 1965 seven stereophonic selections appeared as A side of a 33 rpm album coupled on side B with 'For A Few Dollars More'. 42 years later since its theatrical release this movie is still an evergreen, infact the very recent Italian DVD with the restored aspect ratio and image quality, proves that 'A Fistful Of Dollars' never grows old and always more adored by fans around the world. This CD edition was prepared in close cooperation with M°Ennio Morricone who authorized 10 inedit tracks coming from the original 1964 mono session tapes. Through an appropriate digital remastering and a carefull restoration session we could remove all the original sound defects and anomalies like the correction of big defects still existing on the two channels since the original recording session. This CD features the music chronologically sequenced as it appears in the movie (alternating the stereo mixes to the newly discovered mono mixes)."
