Ligabue (France) (theatrical title)
Limited edition of 500 copies.
For the first time on CD is issued the soundtrack by Armando Trovajoli from one of the most famous Italian Television mini-series: 'Ligabue'. A TV 3 part mini-series directed by Salvatore Nocita in 1977 that narrates the story of the painter Antonio Laccabue known as Ligabue performed by a very good Flavio Bucci. Armando Trovajoli has written a deep and touching score, dominated by a big sense of melancholy and loneliness. The main theme, of big emotional impact and considered as one of the most noted to the audience of the TV scores fans, is represented by an organ ostinato with brief and fast performance of strings and brass with modern sonorities that recall the progressive sound. For this CD, the stereo master tape of the original LP has been used (RCA BL 31337) properly restored and remastered in digital. The track 'Partigiani', existing on the original LP, has been eliminated from the tracks list on suggestion of the composer himself. However the CD contains an 'expanded' version of a theme, plus a totally inedit track. De-luxe Booklet with eight full colour pages enriched with archives photo.
