This prestigious case contains the 30 soundtracks that have made the history of film music, completely remastered.
After the acquisition of C.A.M. Creazioni Artistiche Musicali , founded in 1959 by Giuseppe Ciampi, the Group Sugar gives new light to the historical and prestigious label, presenting the top 30 titles, completely remastered and new graphic (without forgetting the original posters of the movies), collected in a box unique and of great value.
The movie titles of this box received numerous nominations and won as many Oscar and Golden Globe awards and also awarded at Cannes (The Palme d'Or, Golden Palm) and Venice Film Festivals with the David di Donatello and Nastro d'Argento. They include masterpieces that wrote the history of world cinema, fruit of the long association between Federico Fellini and Nino Rota: Oscar winners 8 ½, La Dolce Vita, Amarcord. The cooperation between Luchino Visconti and Nino Rota won the Oscar for Il Gattopardo in 1963, (50th anniversary in 2013) and multi awards winner Rocco e i suoi Fratelli. Also the unforgettable music score by Stelvio Cipriani for Anonimo Veneziano, the Golden Globe award winner Il Vizietto, music by Ennio Morricone and the extraordinary Oscar-winning Il Postino, music by Luis Bacalov.
To emphasize the importance of this project that celebrates the extraordinary artistic partnerships between directors and musicians, there are no words more effective than those used by Marco Müller, producer, film critic and director of many important film festival: "Cinema is the place where music becomes something different because it gains its own role within the whole. Without music cinema would be amputated of an essential and vital element. When it happened that an important composer had worked together with an important film director, an agreement gushed out between the two strong indipendent personalities, where a great music strengthened a great film and viceversa. The reasoned reproposal of the greatest titles from C.A.M catalogue will try to render account to this part of the adventurous history of the Italian films (and not only Italian). Proposing a deviation from the modernist concert music, an alternative to pop music. A whole continent to (re)discover."
