Rosenthal creates music in rich Americana mode, then balances with dramatic orchestral outbursts for conflicts, flavorful jazz for locale. Moving main theme remains at heart throughout. Along with THE MIRACLE WORKER, arguably composer's richest work! Intrada presents complete score from mint condition 1/4" mono masters courtesy Sony Pictures. Also appearing are all surviving tracks from Rosenthal's brief but powerful score for Ralph Nelson's REQUIEM FOR A HEAVYWEIGHT (nearly all of it), starring Anthony Quinn, Mickey Rooney, Jackie Gleason.
