Beat Records releases for the first time on CD the soundtrack by Franco & Gigi Campanino for the dramatic film I guappi, directed in 1974 by Pasquale Squitieri and starring Franco Nero, Claudia Cardinale, Fabio Testi, Lina Polito and Raymond Pellegrin. It's a beautiful score featuring a melancholic main theme accompanied by the crystalline voice of Edda Dell'Orso. In addition to the tracks included on the original RCA 33 rpm album program, we discovered on the stereo master tapes many previously-unreleased tracks that will enrich the listening experience of even the most demanding music lover.
Now available in our BCM series with a 12-page booklet designed by Alessio Innuzzi using original key art, with liner notes (in Italian and English) by Fabio Babini and mastering by Claudio Fuiano. It's an important addition to every collection dedicated to quality film music.
